Request Account Deletion
We're sorry to see you go! If you'd like to delete your Bake Local account and associated data, please follow the instructions below.
Steps to Delete Your Account:
- Via the App (Recommended):
- Open the Bake Local app on your device.
- Go to your Profile tab.
- Tap on Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion. Your account will be processed immediately.
- Via Email Request:
- If you no longer have the app installed, send an email to Support@bakelocalapp.com.
- Use the subject line: Account Deletion Request.
- Include the email address associated with your Bake Local account.
- Our team will process your request within 48-72 hours.
Data Handling & Retention
What is deleted:
- Your personal profile information (name, email, phone number, profile picture).
- Your saved addresses and payment methods.
- Your active cart and wishlist.
- Your authentication credentials (you will no longer be able to log in).
What is kept (Anonymized):
- Order history and transaction records (kept for tax, legal, and accounting purposes as required by law). These will be unlinked from your identity.
- Reviews and ratings you've submitted (kept to maintain baker reputations, but anonymized).
- Chat history (kept for baker business records, but anonymized).
Once deleted, this action cannot be undone.
